FARNAM MANOR located in Richfield, Ohio, is a historic site built by Lord Everett Farnam in 1834. Prior, this was hostile Indian territory and the Indians were not happy it was settled by the white man. At age 40, he married Emily and he and Emily raised five (5) children. In the beginning they all lived happy in their beauty 3200 acres. But heartaches came to them in 1858 when their daughter, Emily, drowned in the cistern. Another child, a son, died in infancy. Both are said to haunt the manor, Emily, seeming to be the main spirit, while she enjoys interacting with visitors. An apparition of a women in a white dress has been seen in the bedroom. After the Farnam’s passed, the manor took a dark turn and became a “house of ill repute”, and some say an exclusive club for gentleman. A ghost of one of these women are claimed to also haunts an upstairs bedroom. A subsequent owner turned it into a restaurant and later passed in an upstairs bedroom where reports of “his after shave” can be smelled. EVP’s of disembodied voices and footsteps are common.
GHOST HUNT After our guest speaker, you will be assigned to a group led by an APS leader to ensure a positive experience. We will have the entire manor and property to investigate. Coffee, water and snacks will be served.
